On the Move in the Mornings

Updated: Sat 12:31 PM, Sep 26, 2009

Here's my theory on morning television newscasts: they're not the reason you wake up in the morning, but the good ones are always part of your routine.

I'm thrilled to now be a part of a show that, for years, has been a staple in people's routines here in our corner of the country.  Last year when I filled in on Brazos Valley This Morning for a couple months, I thought it was some of the most gratifying time I've had in my professional career because people start their days with us.  It's an intimate, weighty responsibility that I relish the opportunity to have full-time now.

Here's the other thing that's cool: while we certainly celebrate any successes that we have at News 3, big or small, we aren't ever satisfied that it's the best we can do.  In that same vein, we're looking for new ways to start your day.  If you've got ideas, we'd love to hear them.  We've got some of our own, but we most certainly don't have the monopoly on ideas.

So drop me a line here if you've got a thought on something new we can do.  And of course, please feel free to make us part of your morning routine.  Thanks for trusting us.
