Hurricane Gustav will continue to move northwestward across Louisiana and eventually track into northeast Texas as an area of low pressure.  Rain chances in Bryan/College Station are at 40% for Tuesday, with the higher chances in Houston and Trinity counties.

Hanna developed into a Hurricane Monday afternoon over the Bahamas and will make landfall along the Georgia coast on Friday. The winds in Hanna are at 80 mph and that storm is moving southwestward at 3 mph.

Tropical Depression #9 was upgraded to Tropical Storm Ike on Monday. The winds in Ike are at 50 mph and the storm is moving westward at 16 mph. Ike may be an issue for the Bahamas over the weekend.

Another strong tropical wave has developed in the eastern Atlantic, off the coast of Africa. This system has a high potential for development and will become Josephine if named.
