It's hard to believe, but it's already time to gear up for the 2009 severe weather season, which officially begins in March.
Skywarn 2009 seminars are already being held across the Brazos Valley and more are scheduled in the next couple of weeks.
Skywarn is a program, hosted by the National Weather Service, that basically informs you of everything you need to know about severe weather. It is a storm spotter training class that is free and open to the public.
The schedule for the Brazos Valley is as follows:
Monday, Jan. 26 Leon County Courthouse Annex in Centerville from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 28 Robertson County Franklin County Courthouse from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Just in case you're curious, a schedule has not been provided for Bryan/College Station. Once the National Weather Service provides one, we'll post it to KBTX.com
