One person has died but two people escaped unharmed from a Houston house fire on a windy night when temperatures dipped to the 40s.
Houston firefighters early Wednesday discovered a woman's body in a back bedroom of the home. Officials say two other people managed to get out of the burning house but they were unable to rescue the 32-year-old woman.
Authorities are trying to determine what sparked the fire that broke out late Tuesday.
Investigators say strong winds fanned the flames. The National Weather Service recorded gusts of nearly 30 mph Tuesday night.
