A Friday afternoon rollover in Kurten caused traffic to be re-routed on Highway 21.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the driver of a car failed to stop at a stop sign when turning from FM 2158 onto the highway, and slammed into a truck.

The truck, which was carrying five people, rolled several times.

Most of the occupants were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while one passenger in the truck was air lifted to Scott and White in Temple with more severe injuries. DPS officials say she is expected to be ok.

There is no FM 2158 near Kurten that I am aware of. I guess this is a new road just installed before the wreck.
