With college graduations just around the corner, thousands of young people with newly-minted diplomas will be entering the job market.

Brad Karsh is author of "Confessions of a Recruiting Director: The Insider's Guide to Landing Your First Job." Karsh also says a resume should not be a laundry list of things you've done. Rather, it should list specific accomplishments.

He also says once you've submitted a resume, you should follow up with a call to the recruiting director. But he says you have to be careful, noting that "there's a fine line between persistent and stalker."
