A fight between mother and son ends shockingly.

Bryan Police say Greg Wymola and his mother were arguing over a cell phone memory card and a credit card.

Authorities say Greg admitted to have been drinking, and later, when he aggressively starting walking towards his mom, was stopped by police. As he was being arrested, Wymola resisted two officers, even trying to choke one.

He ended up being tased twice before finally settling down.

Thanks Chief Strope for bringing tasers to BPD. Great weapon in reducing injuries to officers and suspects. CSPD should consider the same???

Attacking cops in Bryan is normal. Reporting it in the news is not.

Tasers are great but they need to use the real deal more often to whittle down the ranks.

Posted by: why not a 3rd time? Location: bryan on Aug 18, 2008 at 08:54 PM
so they tased him twice? any fool who becomes a threat to his own mother needs to be tased until he can no longer stand on his feet. then he should be handcuffed, and his mother should beat the living daylights out of him. next time,he'll know not to fight with him mom. looks like him, and the taser had a struggle and the taser won.

Attacking a Cop and choking them. He would have been shot with something other then a taser in some parts of Texas.

Posted by: I Don't Like Tasers Location: Use Bullets Instead on Aug 18, 2008 at 06:37 PM
I would prefer them to just shoot the thugs. When they tase them they get out of jail and re-offend. If they would shoot the thugs we would not have to concern ourselves with them anymore. Lets go back to the good ole days.

Way to go BPD!

Is "tased" correct or should it actually be "tasered".

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Bryan on Aug 18, 2008 at 03:30 PM
Better to be Tased twice, then end up getting shot. The Taser is the best tool that law enforcement could ever have. It SAVES LIVES!

Posted by: Amy on Aug 18, 2008 at 02:56 PM
"Cheryl" actually most police officers are required to be tased before ever using a taser gun. Chances are they know exactly what it feels like and I'm sure they only use it when it's necessary.

Posted by: Anonymous on Aug 18, 2008 at 01:35 PM
Tasers are the "less than lethal" weapon. They are highly effective - and officers that use tasers have all been tased, so they know the effect it has on people. So, if you don't want to get tased, do what they ask you to do, like get out of the car, or stop running or stop trying to choke the officer, please.

Bryan finest with a Police visit.

Posted by: Bill on Aug 18, 2008 at 01:25 PM
"last ditch effort" No way. They should never use it and just tell the bad guys to be real good and don't be bad anymore!

Posted by: Cheryl Location: College Station on Aug 18, 2008 at 01:09 PM
I think police use the taser much too often because it is easy (and perhaps a little fun), with no real thought of what physical effect it has on the person that they use it on. It should only be used as a "last-ditch" method.

Looks like they whipped his arse too! I didnt know a taser could give you a black eye..lol

I HAD TO LAUGH AT THIS GUY WHEN I SAW HIM ON TELEVISION LAST NIGHT. HIS MOM SHOULD'VE BEEN THE ONE GIVING HIM THE SMACK DOWN THOUGH. WHAT A JOKE...

Posted by: Anonymous on Aug 18, 2008 at 09:12 AM
This officer could have been Killed. Anytime someone chokes you it could be deadly.

Posted by: dave Location: CS on Aug 18, 2008 at 09:05 AM
haha 5'4" 140? there's children bigger than that guy. Just breathe on him, I'm sure he'd fall over. Good work BPD.

Holy crap, I went to elementary with him. He was the first boy in school to show up with pierced ears. I hope he gets his act together soon. Nothing like a good tasin to show you what is important in life.

Posted by: officer Location: bcs on Aug 17, 2008 at 10:58 PM
a taser is one of the best intermediate weapons ever introduced to law enforcement.
