Throughout Independence Day dozens of people made their way to Davidson Creek Park in Burleson County for the annual Tea Party.
Attendee's brought numerous signs boldly stating their thoughts on government and taxation. Several people at the Tea Party say Independence Day is about celebrating our country's freedom, and making sure their voices are heard.
"The state of Texas is fairly conservative, but on the national level just seems like we get no representation" says Tea Party participant, Rick Dowling.
"Small business is what makes this country go round and you need to make it as easy as you can on them. Cause its tough, it's real tough. I did it for four years," says participant, Joe Dowling.
This is the second year the Republican Party of Burleson county has held the Tea Party.

Oh, "Frowner"Browner, YOU misunderstood my comment! Tea Parties are not intended to be a Republican Party stand on what our Constitution states, but rather how TAXES are not being used for what the CONSTITUTION READS!!! Are you that closed minded? I'M ALL FOR TEA PARTIES and what they represent, but it doesn't have anything to do with being UNCONSTITUTIONAL! And as for your judging of "flunking Civics", you might go back and BRUSH UP, Partner!

It is amazing how wrong the "news" report is & how ignorant the outsider’s comments are. The one about roads & street lights that are paid for by fuel taxes was the most blatantly naive. The one about free assembly being treasonous was downright totalitarian, and no doubt made by a, “we care about the little people bed wetter.” Ignoring anyone right to their own property if it serves their interest ought to be in the forefront of liberal thought, instead they clamor of more extortions from more people & businesses till they have picked the last bit of gristle off the few last working American’s & cavalierly deny the destruction of their neighbor & America. Well pick on the bone & surely when you have no bread the government will feed you cake. Now you deniers of the extortion you are party to go on & float back off to never land where all extortions of funds & love end in, “they all lived happily ever after.” Call me when mom buys you some long pants & we can talk like men, the real story is the more totalitarian the government the more people die & starve and that is not in moms bed time stories. It is documented throughout history, but it might not be on your game boy.
