NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Police are calling the shooting death of former NFL quarterback Steve McNair a homicide, but they haven't yet reached a conclusion about the death of the 20-year-old woman found with him.
Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron said Sunday that the two had been dating the past several months.
Aaron says McNair was shot four times, twice in the head. The woman, 20-year-old Sahel Kazemi, was killed by a single gunshot wound. The pistol was found near her body.
The 36-year-old McNair, a 4-time Pro Bowl selection who was married with four children, and Kazemi were found dead Saturday at a Nashville condominium he shared with a friend.
McNair played most of his career with the Tennessee Titans before he was traded to the Baltimore Ravens. He retired last year.

My heart goes out to four children who no longer have a father and until the facts are known, maybe no mother either. They will have years of questions, ridicule, counseling, and maybe not even have a mother in her right mind because just the mania of all this could put her over the edge. I pray for the kids and hope their uncles, aunts, grandparents, mom, cousins and extended families will pull together and give them the strength they will need to continue with their lives. God Bless.
