FLOWER MOUND, Texas -- Police say a triple-murder suicide has left a family of four dead in an affluent neighborhood in Flower Mound.
Preliminary information shows that Andrea Roberts killed her husband Michael Lewis Roberts and her children, 11-year-old Micayla Roberts, and 7-year-old Dylan Roberts, while they were asleep. She then turned the gun on herself. Police say each suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.
Neighbors gathered Tuesday evening and left flowers and signs on the front porch of the red brick home. One sign read, "We love you Roberts family." Others were decorated with shapes of hearts and flowers.
Police Lieutenant Wendell Mitchell said detectives are reviewing a suicide note left in the house, about 30 miles northwest of Dallas.
Mitchell said officers responded to a domestic dispute call at the Roberts' home in January, but no one was injured and no one was arrested.
