The transition from military life to college life can be difficult for many veterans.
Timothy Judkins served in the Marines and knows the difficulty of the transition first-hand.
"When you're in the military you've got your housing, you’re told when to eat and the food is there,” said Judkins.
The Veterans Services Resource Center at Texas A&M University helps veterans transition into college life.
The center also serves as a referral resource and assists veterans in finding help with academic or financial needs.
Retired Colonel Jerry Smith says the center is a one stop shop.
"We can point them in the right direction to anybody on campus or in the local community that may be able to help them," said Col. Smith.
The center also assists veterans in the community and their families.
