Alleged Thieves Leave Vital Clue at Local Business

Good to Know:

  • Two men allegedly stole $400 from a register at Pita Pit.
  • One of the men filled out an employment application the day before, which store managers say helped police locate him.

COLLEGE STATION - College Station police are investigating a theft at a local restaurant after a man who was picking up a job application reportedly took money from the cash drawer.

According to the store manager, two men walked into the Pita Pit on Texas Avenue Sunday afternoon. One of the men filled out an application the day before and the other wanted to fill one out that day.

When the Pita Pit employee went to the back of the store to get the application, the men reportedly opened the register, took about four hundred dollars, and left.

Since one of the men had already filled out an application with all his information, we're told that was given to police to help them with their investigation.
