BTU has reported to KBTX News that power has been restored to all downtown areas affected by Sunday morning's power outage.
The cause appears to be related to a faulty transformer.
An official with BTU (Bryan Texas Utilities) has told KBTX News they are working to restore power to areas of downtown Bryan.
90% of power has been restored to residents since the initial outage and there are about 20 businesses still without power. This involves an area beginning from 16th St. to William J. Bryan. and from Tabor Ave. to Bryan Ave.
A cause has not been determined and an estimate on restoration time is not currently available.
