Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers are investigating a shooting that could be determined to have been accidental even though the victim was shot twice.

The shooting happened Monday evening in the 3300 block of Bluebonnet Boulevard in Brenham. Detectives say the shooting involved family members and since they know the persons involved, there is no gunman is on the loose and there is no danger to the public.

The victim is a 49 year old female, who received non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Investigators say she is in stable condition and is recovering at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham.
