A Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy shot at a man suspected of using a stolen credit card at the Woodlands Mall Wednesday afternoon.
Deputies said the suspect was seen by mall security using the stolen card at a Macy’s shortly before noon. When officers attempted to approach the suspect in a vehicle, he backed the car into a mall security vehicle. As the suspect drove toward the deputy, the deputy fired his gun one time hitting the vehicle’s front windshield. The suspect was not hit.
Authorities said the suspect, 41-year-old Tuad Damonn Washington , of Houston, was then taken into custody.
Washington will be charged with aggravated assault.
No one was hurt in Wednesday’s incident.
Officials said the credit card abuse remains under investigation and additional charges are possible.
