FRANKLIN, Texas - The U.S. Department of Agriculture has wrapped up an investigation on the Franklin Drive Thru Animal Safari Park after a complaint was filed by PETA over the handling of a Zebra.
Carol Bannerman with U.S.D.A. Wildlife Services says the park was issued a warning after a publication surfaced showing a zebra being chased and tackled to the ground for the filming of an Animal Planet show, "Call of the Wildmen."
As a result they conducted a surprise inspection.
The Franklin Safari Park was not fined but warned to make sure animals are treated better in the future.
Jason Clay with the park declined to speak on camera but told us he believes the whole incident has been blown out of proportion.
