Fundraiser Finishes For Bryan Police K-9 Bullet Proof Vests

Posted: Thu 10:44 PM, Jan 03, 2013

Wednesday we told you about a Texas A&M Grad Student raising money to buy Kevlar bullet-proof vests for the K-9 officers of the Bryan Police Department.

They've already reached their goal Thursday.

The department received an anonymous donation of $1,500 which put them over the threshold to buy the vests for both K-9 officers "Kohn" and "Falco".

Bryan P.D. says the dogs are used mainly in narcotics cases and the vest will help protect the dogs from bullets, physical trauma, and other dangers.

They say no more donations are needed at this time.
