HOUSTON (AP) Houston police have arrested an 18-year-old man they say was drunk when he killed a woman in a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot of a Houston grocery store.
The Houston Chronicle reports Saturday that police say the man fled after he hit the 58-year-old woman who was walking in the parking lot at about 9:15 p.m. Friday. Police say the woman died at the scene. Police say the man was later found about two miles away.
Houston police spokesman John Cannon says the suspect's name has not yet been released. Cannon says he will be charged with intoxicated manslaughter.
