A distinguished group of volunteers in our community will be honored at this year's Jefferson Awards.

College Station Mayor Nancy Berry, Brazos County NAACP President Ann Boney, Calvert Senior Center Founder Bea Cephas, and Bryan Broadcasting General Manager Ben Downs were chosen by a local board of selectors.

Their outstanding contributions to the Brazos Valley will be recognized in a ceremony at the George Bush Presidential Library on April 10 and broadcast live on KBTX.

News 3 will bring you their stories leading up to the event.

One of the four winners will be chosen to go to the Jefferson Awards event in Washington and will be eligible for the national award.
