'Lack of Knowledge,' Bad Score Shuts Down CS Japanese Restaurant

The Brazos County Health Department shut down a Northgate restaurant, but has since reopened it.

Wednesday, inspectors gave the Kyoto Japanese Restaurant in the 100 block of College Main a score of 63 out of 100. A score under 70 requires a closure until issues are corrected.

In addition, on the health department's Facebook page, it was noted that Kyoto had "a complete lack of knowledge regarding sushi rules."

By Wednesday afternoon, Kyoto had been reopened, according to the department.
