Man Sentenced To 25 Years For Two Bryan Bank Robberies

Updated: Wed 10:14 AM, Nov 14, 2012

A man is sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to robbing two local banks.

Christopher Clayton accepted a plea agreement Friday after being jailed since the two robberies in 2010.

Clayton robbed Prosperity Bank and Citibank both located on Texas Avenue in Bryan.

Prosecutors say he passed notes to tellers demanding money but he did not have a weapon in either robbery.

Investigators say his fingerprint was matched to a note used during one of the robberies.

Clayton will have to serve at least a fourth of his sentence before he's eligible for parole.
