This past Friday, March 14, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, along with Deputies from the Patrol Division, conducted a narcotics investigation in Spring, Texas.
During the investigation, a search warrant was obtained for an apartment. In the subsequent investigation and search, 2.1 ounces of methamphetamine, one handgun, one assault rifle, numerous prescription medications, $7000 in cash, and a vehicle were seized at the location.
One person, Michael Layne Rawls, was arrested at the location and charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and felony money laundering.
