Signal Work on US 79/Hackberry and US 79/Brazos

Beginning Monday, August 6, 2012, the signal crew for TxDOT's Bryan District will upgrade the traffic signal at the intersections of US 79 and Hackberry and US 79 and Brazos in Hearne, Texas. They will be upgrading and replacing the cabinet and controllers for these signals.

Motorists who travel through this intersection should expect to encounter workers. While this work is completed, motorist should treat these intersections as four-way-stops while the traffic lights are off. Portable stop signs will be in place while work is done on the signals.

The cost to upgrade each signal is approximately $4,000.00 Tout hopes to have both signals done on Monday but if time does not allow they will finish this on Tuesday. Tout appreciates everyone's patience during this signal upgrade.
