HOUSTON (AP) - A teenager has been charged with burglary after security video from inside a Houston-area house showed a man with a flashlight peering at a sleeping toddler in a crib.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says nobody was hurt in the April 5 burglary and the 18-year-old suspect faces an initial court appearance Monday.
Christopher Gomez has been charged with three counts of burglary of a habitation. Authorities earlier this week publicized the home invasion video in an effort that generated tips and led to Thursday night's arrest. Online jail records had no listing of an attorney for Gomez, whose bond was set at $300,000.
The video shows a man in a cap using a flashlight to check out various rooms as the family slept.
Computer equipment and cash were stolen.
