TxDOT Announces Construction Closures at Highway 47

TxDOT is temporarily changing the flow of traffic on State Highway 47 as part of a construction project.

As of Friday, October 5th, the southbound inside lane will be closed just south of the Villa Maria intersection in Bryan.

Additionally, the southbound exit ramp to F-M 60 West to Snook will be closed, and a detour route will be in place.

This will allow the contractor to build concrete pavement for the inside lanes of the frontage roads at the proposed intersection of 47 with the Health Science Center Parkway.

The changes are part of a $9.8 million overpass project expected to be completed next year.
