A Montgomery County woman is behind bars Friday after driving while intoxicated multiple times.
Sheila Jynell Sanders, 54, of New Waverly was sentenced Tuesday to 35 years in prison. Sanders was seen by another driver driving recklessly last December. A DPS Trooper attempted to pull Sanders over, but she fled from the Trooper for another six miles before she eventually pulled over. She was also charged with Evading with a Motor Vehicle.
Sanders has five prior DWI convictions. She will not be eligible for parole until she has served half of her sentence.
