Teen Charged with Intoxication Assault, Injures Passenger in Major Accident

COLLEGE STATION- One man is hospitalized and another man is charged with Intoxication Assault after an early morning accident Saturday in College Station.

According to the College Station Police Department the accident happened around 2:45 a.m. when Eric Grimes, 19-years-old of North Zulch, was driving down Holleman Drive West when he lost control of his truck and slammed into a tree at the corner of Holleman and Woodway Drive. The truck overturned injuring the passenger, a 20-year-old male. The injured man was pried out of the vehicle and was immediately transported to the College Station Medical Center with life threatening injuries, and remains there as of Saturday afternoon.

Officers determined alcohol was a factor in the accident. This case remains under investigation.
