A college in Niceville, Florida showed just how nice they could be when they welcomed our very own C&J Barbeque to the campus for a barbeque cook-off.
The C&J group was the only Texas team invited to participate in TexasFest 2010, held at Northwest Florida State College the first weekend in August.
The annual event is organized by the Emerald Coast A&M Club and celebrates Texas culture, music, and food.
Our Brazos Valley barbequers competed against other Florida teams and it should come as no surprise the C&J cookers walked away with first place in sausage.
The team also took second in brisket and pork, third in ribs and overall they ranked second.
TexasFest merges both state's cultures and unique barbeque styles.
And just to prove TexasFest is an event for all Aggies who bleed maroon, the concert headliner was Granger Smith, Texas A&M Class of 2002.
