14 Year Old Cameron Boy Arrested After High-Speed Chase

A 14 year old boy from Cameron is accused of taking Rockdale Police on a high-speed chase last weekend that ended when the car the boy was driving crashed and rolled.

It happened about two Saturday morning on Cameron Avenue in Rockdale.

An officer attempted to pull the boy over when he noticed a headlight out. Officers say the boy took off at speeds of up to 115 miles per hour, but crashed into a drainage ditch and rolled the car.

Firefighters were able to get him out using the Jaws of Life.
He was taken to the hospital and treated and released.

Turns out the boy is facing charges in Cameron for burglarizing a home and stealing the car, and charges in Rockdale for evading arrest.
