Some Bryan elementary students raised over 1,000 dollars to help some of their fellow classmates. Kids at Henderson Elementary raised money for the kids at their school who were displaced by an apartment fire.

Students were asked to bring a dollar or a household item. The money will be used to buy gift certificates for three families.

"Some of my classmates, one of them brought 12 dollars and one of them brought 10 dollars and we were donating. The prize was whatever class could donate the most money got a popcorn party," Matt Miller.

Since the donation response was so overwhelming, all 350 students got a bag of popcorn.
