Broken ribs may be the worst of a Madisonville man's physical injuries following a horrific ATV accident Sunday.
Carl McGinty was riding his four-wheeler up a steep embankment at the Soggy Bottom Ranch when the vehicle flipped and landed on top of him.
Monday afternoon, McGinty called News 3 from Temple where he was still in the hospital. He says he tried to dive out of the way of the ATV as it started to overturn, but the four-wheeler bounced off a tree and landed on top of him.
In the end, McGinty says he only suffered a broken nose and ribs, a busted lip and some bumps and bruises.
McGinty says it was his mistake, not that of anyone else or Soggy Bottom.
