More Texas Avenue Work Likely to Cause Delays

Expect further delays when driving Texas Avenue in College Station this week and next.

Starting Tuesday at 8:30 a.m., TxDOT will start work on the Texas Avenue intersections at George Bush and FM 2818.

Various lanes will be shut down in order to mill, seal and re-pave those portions of the roads.

Police officers will direct traffic at times, and TxDOT urges drives to find alternate routes, as delays are expected.

The work should last into next week.

The construction is all part of the $17 million widening of Texas Avenue.
