Calvert Police Chief Moving On, Staying Close

Calvert's police chief is on his way out.

Joe Cheatum has taken a position with Robertson County's sheriff's office. His last day on the job with Calvert is March 18, according to a city official, who says he has been with Calvert PD for around five years.

Officer Pat Armstrong will serve as interim as the city looks for Cheatum's replacement.

The department also reported had a couple of members leave prior to Cheatum's announcement.
