Dozens of demonstrators rallying against the war in Iraq gathered in College Station on the conflict's fifth anniversary.
The Texas Avenue-University Drive intersection has been the common spot for local residents and students to gather in protest of the military efforts in Iraq.
David McWhirter has organized many of those demonstrations.
"The sacrifice of our troops, that might be noble," he said, "but there's no justice for the 4,000 who died, for the half-million Iraqis or more that are dead."
A smaller group formed across the street from the larger gathering, those people in support of the American effort overseas.
"We support the troops," said Larry Reams. "We support the president. We support winning the war now that we're there and not backing out."
