A pair of prominent attorneys is joining the defense team of an accused Somerville mass murderer.
Angleton law partners Katherine Scardino and Jimmy Phillips have been appointed to help defend Anthony Graves. Both have tried high-profile Texas capital murder cases. Scardino has appeared on shows like Court TV, the Today Show and Dateline in connection the trials.
Graves is scheduled to be retried in July for the 1992 murders of a Somerville grandmother and five children. He was convicted in 94, but it was overturned after it was learned prosecutors withheld evidence.
The retrial has been moved from Burleson to Lee County.
