An Adkins man has been arrested for a slew of charges including escaping while in custody.

College Station police say Ryan Jeffrey Wight was arrested Friday night in the 1700 block of North Bardell.

That's where police say they spotted the 19-year-old Adkins resident sitting on a porch acting suspiciously.

When police approached they allegedly found a plastic bag of Marijuana in plain view. Police say when they searched Wight, they found Brass Knuckles, Cocaine, and Xanax.

Wight even allegedly tried to escape while handcuffed, but he didn't get far.

He has been charged with marijuana possession, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a prohibited weapon and escaping while in custody.

Wight is being held on a $27,000 bond.
