We have just received word that the Brenham babysitter, accused of killing 2-year-old Alexia Lopez, failed her lie detector test before she skipped town.
The babysitter, Berny Figueroa, 29, was questioned by the Brenham Police Department after the child's death. She failed her polygraph, but was released because a warrant had not yet been issued.
During that time she left a note stating that the pressure of the investigation was just too much for her and then disappeared.
We have also learned that since her disappearance, Figueroa's brother was questioned about his sister's whereabouts. Her brother failed his lie detector test when he told police that he had no information about where his fugitive sister may be.
Berny Figueroa has been charged with capital murder after allegedly striking the 2-year old she was caring for, causing massive internal injuries.
Anyone with information on Figueroa's whereabouts is urged to call the Brenham Police Department.
