HUNTSVILLE, Texas -- Authorities are trying to confirm whether remains found in a shallow grave in rural Walker County are those of a missing pregnant woman.

A Walker County sheriff's office news release on Monday says that the remains found Wednesday appear to be those of a pregnant black woman.

The news release says that the victim matches the physical description of Tierra Adams, a 25-year-old who has been listed as missing from the Houston area. Dental records are being compared to make an identification.

The body has been sent to the medical examiner's office in Dallas County.
