Edge Racetrack Could Hinge on Wednesday's Alcohol Decision

A decision Wednesday could determine whether there'll be racing in Edge. Brazos County Judge Randy Sims said he'll that is the day he'll decide if the racetrack will be granted a wine and beer permit.

The owners of the track say the ability to sell alcohol is critical to the the track's success. They applied for the license through the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission, but during the process, dozens of residents opposed granting the license citing concern of drunk drivers.
