Bryan's first ever sanctioned lawn mower race was held Saturday at the Brazos County Expo Complex.
Drivers kick up plenty of dust on their mowers, which are altered to reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
Bryan racer Bonnie Driggers, who calls herself "The Mow Mamma," says flying around a track on the seat of a lawn mower, is quite an experience.
"Its an adrenaline rush. You just try really hard to ride as hard as you can and not hit the person in front of you," said Driggers.
Bonnie and her husband Lewis say they are the only local racers, but they would love to get more people from the Brazos Valley involved.
Saturday's race was part of the Lone Star Mower Racing Association. For more information, follow the link below to the organization's website.
