A College Station police officer suffered minor injuries after a Northgate patron allegedly punched him.
Bradley Rutledge was out on the town early Saturday morning according to authorities when officers found him and others fighting.
While an officer restrained one of the fighters, Rutledge allegedly punched the officer in the jaw, then threw a few body blows before he was reportedly brought down.
The 26-year-old San Antonio resident has been charged with assault on a public servant, which is a third degree felony.
The officer suffered only a cut and some swelling. Body armor absorbed those shots to the back he took.
