Have you ever been to a hair cutting party? After this weekend, around 200 people can say they've been to one, in Bryan.
Saturday night, friends of 15 year-old Garrett Maliska volunteered for buzz cuts. Maliska is a Bryan High School freshman who was recently diagnosed with cancer.
He starts chemotherapy this week, and will soon loose his hair. Players from his baseball team, the Bryan Young Guns, helped organize the hair cut session, as a show of support for him.
"Garrett is as strong a young man as you'll find. He'll get through this. He knows we're all behind him. We'll be able to watch him grow up into a fine young man and live a good life," said Ken Danford, Garrett's coach.
Garrett is currently undergoing treatment at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston.
