A pair of local charities is singing the praises of a Texas A&M sorority for its generous donation.
On Monday evening, Chi Omega presented a $50,000 check to the Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center and $20,000 to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
The money was raised in the fall through Songfest, a variety show in which A&M organizations sing and dance.
In attendance at the check presentation were two little boys who benefited from the donation. Through Make-a-Wish, Ryan and his family traveled to Rome where his wish was to meet the Pope. While Tanner, who is deaf, receives therapy at the Brazos Valley Rehab Center.
