Rescue crews were quick to the scene of a two car collision in Bryan early Sunday evening. It happened around 5 p.m. at Highway 47 and Villa Maria Road.
Police say the driver of a Jeep Cherokee headed north on Highway 47, collided with a Jeep Wrangler that was travelling east on Villa Maria.
At this time, police haven't determined what caused the accident.
Witnesses told police the Cherokee spun out of control, before coming to a stop. Both drivers were conscious when first responders arrived, but the woman behind the wheel of the Cherokee had to be rescued from her vehicle.
"They had to cut off the driver's door and peel the driver side back door off to get them out of that," said Bryan Police Sergeant Jeff Peters.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
