A suspect is in the Brazos County jail, but not before injuring a warrant sergeant and starting a manhunt.

Around 4:30 p.m., the sheriff's office say they got word Robert Field Jr had violated his court-ordered ankle monitoring rules. Authorities say the 22-year-old was being monitored because of drug, weapon and theft charges.

Field was at the monitoring center on South Main Street in Bryan when a deputy came to arrest him. With his first wrist cuffed, Field reportedly began wrestling with that deputy, and when it was all said and done, the deputy's leg and ankle were broken and Field was on the run.

Two hours later, Field was arrested without incident at an apartment on Orman Circle in Bryan, about two miles from where he escaped.

Officials say the Deputy's ankle injury will require surgery.
