The prognosis is getting better for a 5-year old Leon County boy who was mauled by a pair of pit bulldogs.
The child's condition has improved to the point that he's been moved out of intensive care into a private room at Texas Children's Hospital in Dallas.
The attack took place Sunday morning in Buffalo as the boy was walking home from his grandmother's house.
The dogs, which belonged to a relative, grabbed the boy by his arm and began biting him. The child's mother heard his screams, rushed to the scene and was able to pull her son free.
Both dogs have since been put down. Test for rabies came back negative for both animals.
