A scary standoff inside a College Station school today where police say a student armed with an unknown device threatened to blow up a classroom.
Authorities say the unnamed College Station Middle School student had been disrupting class this morning.
At one point, he allegedly picked up a tube filled with a white powdery substance with wires attached.
He reportedly told everyone in the class that if he dropped it, it would explode.
An in-school officer managed to take down the student, but not without a fight.
The device turned out to be harmless.
The student is charged with making a terroristic threat and resisting arrest.
