An Auto Zone employee has been arrested for giving himself a raise, from the cash register.

This weekend, Charles Leggett was booked in the Brazos County Jail.

Bryan Police say he stole $1,500 from the Auto Zone on Texas Avenue.

Store managers told police Leggett was caught on surveillance camera taking money that was supposed to go to the store's safe.

Leggett admitted taking the cash, but told police it was later stolen from his car.
