Good to Know:
BRAZOS COUNTY - The driver of an 18-wheeler was air-lifted to an area hospital when the truck rolled over on FM 159 in Brazos County Monday afternoon.
State Trooper Patrick Cox says the 66-year-old Florida driver possibly over-corrected while coming around a curve in the road and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over, trapping the driver inside.
"The fire department had to saw it open using the jaws of life to put a big hole in the top of the truck and pulled him out that way. PHI got him out of here pretty quick," Trooper Cox said.
There is no word yet on who the driver was working for or what was inside the trailer, however there were no hazardous materials placards on the outside of the truck so the contents are believed to be safe.
The driver's injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.
