It was a devastating crash on Highway 6 that claimed the lives of three local teens and a Deer Park man. Now, the families of those killed are suing the construction companies who were working on the highway.
Jury selection begins in Robertson County Wednesday in the wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the September 16, 2006 crash.
Four people died in the accident, which happened in a construction zone south of College Station.
The lawsuit claims three construction companies created unsafe conditions by forcing cars to stop behind their trucks on a busy highway.
The lawsuit is on behalf of the families of Sarah Alexandra Nichols, 17, of Bryan; Bruce Edward King II, 18, of College Station; Bryson Thompson, 18, of Bryan; and Augustin Hernandez, 32, of Deer Park.
They are seeking unspecified damages.
